Studying human development, from infancy to adolescence.
Our goal is to understand how genes and experience work together to influence brain development, emotion and behaviour.
The different groups within the Centre investigate a broad range of abilities, from basic vision and perception, through to cognitive skills including language, memory and attention, as well as social and emotional development. We are also interested in children's individual differences - in what ways do children differ, and why?
In our purpose-built playrooms at the Centre we use state-of-the art equipment to study how children understand and interact with the environment.
